Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 Group A Bastos - Barum Czech Rally 1991 P. Snijers/D. Colebunders #4 - 1/24 scale Dmodelkits

Hello Everyone,

Im Ollie Models 1:24 and Just kicked off a new build – the legendary Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 from Dmodelkits.

The kit looks absolutely top-notch and I can’t wait to see it come together! 

It’s going to wear the iconic Bastos livery Barum Rally 1991 with Patrick Snijers behind the wheel.

To spice things up, I’m also adding a Rejimodel transkit – fresh wheels, front lights, exhaust, and mirrors. Basically… the Sierra is getting a proper “spa treatment.” 

Snijers drove it hard, I’ll build it slow, and you can follow every step here in this Blog, feel free to share, comment and make me questions.

Update 2 11/11/2025

Continuing with the body preparation – all parts have been sanded with 400-grit paper for stronger bite of primer, every panel line carefully re-scribed, and the front grille on the hood got some special treatment and highlighted the air vents for a cleaner, more realistic look.

Body preparation with 1000 surfacer and white coats of TS-26 for the base color.

I'll let it fully cure and prepare for masking the Bastos livery.

Also small surgery has been done with front lights, I cut them out and will be replaced with Rejimodel transkit.
