A legendary piece of Italian motorsport history returns in 1/24 scale!

Heller presents the Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo Short Tail, featuring the iconic Alitalia livery and representing the car entered in the 1979 Giro d’Italia Automobilistico. Originally released by ESCI in 1979, this historic kit returns with completely refurbished moulds and is scheduled for release in October 2026.

The kit contains 121 parts and faithfully recreates the distinctive Short Tail version of the Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo. It features a detailed engine block, auxiliary headlights and bonnets that can be assembled in either the open or closed position, giving modellers the option to display the car with its mechanical details visible or in its closed configuration.

The completely overhauled moulds provide a modern reproduction while preserving the character and appeal of the original ESCI edition.

The real car is particularly significant in motorsport history, having been driven by two legendary names: Walter Röhrl and Gilles Villeneuve during the 1979 Giro d’Italia Automobilistico.
